Large-Cabin Market: Rising Inventory, Resilient Prices
After a period of limited availability in parts of the pre-owned large-cabin market, inventory has increased sharply across several key models. However, the recovery remains uneven. Transaction prices have remained strong, raising the question of whether the market can absorb this additional supply without a change in valuations.
Structural constraints remain significant. Gulfstream and Bombardier both reported backlog growth exceeding 20% at midyear, while aircraft deliveries are expected to remain broadly in line with 2025. For buyers seeking immediate availability, the pre-owned market remains the main option.
Limited supply has helped support aircraft values. Selected Bombardier Global models have shown resilience, while successive G650 vintages have generally recorded transaction prices above those of the preceding twelve months.

These strong valuations are now encouraging more owners to bring their aircraft to market. G650 availability has increased sharply since January, reaching roughly seven months of supply at the current transaction pace, compared with fewer than three months a year earlier. Global 6000 inventory has risen 50% over the past ninety days, while Global 5000 Vision supply remains below three months.

Despite the increase in inventory, pricing has remained firm. Recent Global 6000 transactions continue to support higher year-on-year valuations, although some sellers appear to be testing the upper limits of what the market is willing to pay.
The G550 tells a different story, with fewer transactions and increasingly selective pricing. However, as an older, discontinued platform, its market dynamics may not reflect broader trends across the large-cabin segment.
For now, limited supply continues to support valuations, particularly where comparable alternatives are scarce. The key question for the coming quarters is whether current price premiums can hold as inventory continues to increase.
