The Middle East Aviation Market
During our recent interview with Aviation Week at the Dubai Airshow 2025, we had the opportunity to discuss current dynamics in the Middle East private-aviation market — a region that remains central to our activity and continues to show strong momentum for large-cabin aircraft.
The Middle East has long been a market naturally aligned with wide-cabin, long-range aircraft, which fits closely with the segment in which Opus Aero operates. What is evolving, however, is the breadth of opportunities emerging in the region. The continued opening of Saudi Arabia, particularly on the charter and operations side, is creating new demand for super-mid jets capable of connecting efficiently to both Europe and Asia. Aircraft such as the Challenger 605 and the G450 are increasingly well-suited to this environment, and charter activity in the area continues to strengthen. This growth in regional operations is supporting a healthy appetite for well-maintained pre-owned aircraft.
Recent trends also point towards a generational shift within the buyer community. Many first-time owners in the region — often much younger than the traditional buyer profile — are entering the market with a preference for large-cabin aircraft. This “iPhone effect” reflects a mindset of upgrading early and opting for the latest available product, which has translated into direct interest in models such as the Global 7500, G700 or G800 from the very first acquisition.
These observations were reinforced during our participation in the Dubai Airshow this year. Throughout the event, we engaged with buyers and operators across the region, many of whom echoed the same market signals: sustained demand for large-cabin platforms, growing operational needs, and continued interest in high-quality pre-owned aircraft. The show also provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen our presence locally and to support ongoing discussions.
As we look ahead, we remain confident in the stability of the Middle Eastern market. The region continues to combine strong purchasing power with a clear preference for long-range capability and cabin comfort — a combination that keeps demand resilient even as global conditions evolve. Opus Aero will continue to support clients in navigating these opportunities discreetly, whether through acquisitions, strategic sales or tailored market guidance.
