A Global Approach: How Regional Trends Influence Aircraft Values
As the business aviation market continues to mature in 2025, we’re seeing more distinct regional trends shaping both values and buyer behavior, especially in the large-cabin and ultra-long-range aircraft segments.
🔹 North America: Stable Demand, Sharp Buyers
The U.S. remains the most active market globally, accounting for a significant share of transactions. However, buyers are increasingly analytical, relying on advisors to scrutinize valuations and technical conditions. Aircraft with clean pedigrees, enrolled programs, and recent refurbishments command strong interest—but price sensitivity is rising. Many are factoring in upcoming bonus depreciation changes and potential maintenance costs more carefully than ever.
🔹 Middle East: Appetite for Larger Aircraft
In the Gulf region, demand continues to center around ultra-long-range aircraft and bizliners. There’s strong interest in BBJs, ACJs, and G650s, particularly among private and corporate buyers with existing charter fleets. However, the acquisition process tends to be slower and more relationship-driven, making off-market campaigns particularly effective.
🔹 Europe: A More Cautious Approach
European buyers are approaching acquisitions conservatively, often prioritizing operational flexibility and certification (EASA vs FAA) over speed or aesthetics. Sustainability and efficiency remain discussion points, especially for corporate operators. VAT implications and registration structures are also playing a larger role in the due diligence process.
🔹 Asia & Emerging Markets: Selective but Growing
Asia remains selective, but active, particularly for newer inventory and pedigree aircraft. Interest is growing in Southeast Asia and India, though acquisition processes can be lengthier. In Africa, we’ve also noted increased movement from UHNWI looking to upgrade to larger or newer models, though transactions are often conducted discreetly and privately.
